Ad Challenge for Perdue Farms
- Goal: Create a fun ad for Perdue’s limited-time Sea Creature Chicken Nuggets that excites kids and gives moms, the main shoppers, a reason to trust the product.
- What I did: For Perdue’s Fall 2025 Ad Challenge in a Salisbury University marketing class, I designed a poster and a matching Instagram post in Canva. I built an under-the-sea scene around the package, all four nugget shapes and the headline “Make a Splash at Dinner.” “Limited Time Offer” speaks to shoppers who hate to miss out, while “No Antibiotics Ever” and “100% Natural Ingredients” reassure parents.
- Result: A finished poster and Instagram post with every element Perdue’s brief required: the package, all four nugget shapes, the logo and a headline. It taught me to design for two audiences at once, the kid who spots the ad and the parent who buys the nuggets.
Planet Fitness Club Launch: Influencer, PR and Referral Marketing
- Goal: Drive Founding Member sign-ups and local buzz for Ohana Growth Partners’ 100th Planet Fitness club in Randallstown, Maryland, before it opened.
- What I did: As a Marketing Creative Director Intern in summer 2026, I reached out to about 30 local athletes and creators on Instagram and TikTok, choosing engagement over follower count. I pitched local media on the 100th-club milestone and the sold-out June rate. I also designed a “Founding Ambassador” referral program that recruits owners and regulars at barbershops, salons and churches, each with a referral link, a QR-code flyer and a tracking code.
- Result: Three creators responded, including a University of Maryland alum and track athlete with real ties to Randallstown. My PR outreach connected me with a business development liaison for West Baltimore County, and the referral program is a zero-cost plan to turn trusted locals into promoters. My biggest lesson: local credibility beats reach, since a local athlete with 5,000 engaged followers can beat an account with 40,000.
